MK Beauty shoot
We have been recently shooting a new beauty campaign.
Casting is a huge part of what we do, the model is everything for a shoot like this.
We need to get the right model for the right make up - for the right lighting.
It is like a puzzle that needs to be worked out prior to the shoot.
MBA-London shoot
In December we had a great time shooting with MBA London when we were commissioned to shoot an advertising campaign which used a series of flying people for Avios air miles
The shots were achieved using a trapeze technician and a harness which suspended the models from the studio ceiling, giving them the ability to fly.
We shot the portraits in Holborn studios in North London as they have large ceiling grids that allow people and objects to be suspended in mid-air.
After a couple of wind machines were added we were in business. The whole shoot was good fun and we are looking forward to seeing the final campaign in print & online.

Mark Westerby has recently heard he has once again been selected for ‘Lurzers Archive 200 best advertising photographers worldwide.’
This is the third time running Mark has been listed in the elite book which reaches Art Directors and Buyers around the world.
Mark said: “it is great to be associated with Lurzers Archive and to be selected for the third time is an honour as the book is not only a major source of inspiration but is a valuable art buying tool.
The edition will be distributed worldwide at the end of the year and usually sells out in a short space of time.
Recognition in Paris
It has been announced that Mark Westerby’s work has been highly commended in Prix De La Photographie Paris.
Judged by leading editors, publishers and creatives such as Kenan Aktulun (Creative Director of Truth in New York) and Christine Ollier (Art Director of Filles Du Calvaire in Paris), Prix De La Photographie is designed to bring the best of photography from across the globe to Paris.
This year’s awards received thousands of entries from around the world and the judging panel spent many hours scoring the submissions.
The identity of all photographers is kept secret during the voting process to ensure the fairness and the integrity of the awards.
